Entering the St. Mark’s Basin by boat is like entering through the main door of a royal palace, a magical and fascinating experience. Since ancient times, the Basin was the arrival point of the convoys of ships that crossed the Mediterranean Sea bringing to Venice all kinds of merchandise and goods.

We are now arriving in Riva degli Schiavoni, a few meters from the Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri), the St. Mark’s Square, the Doge’s Palace, the St. Mark’s Campanile (Campanile di San Marco) and of course the St. Mark’s Basilica (Basilica di San Marco).

For those who want to discover more, just continue through streets (calli), fields (campi) and squares (piazze) towards the Rialto Bridge and countless other places to discover.
