The reason for not visiting the Bridge of Sighs is due to the fact that it is part of the municipal museum itinerary, while the New Prisons are a private museum. The building is owned by the Circolo Artistico di Venezia, a society for the promotion of Fine Arts founded around 1820 with the aim of promoting any form of art (painting, sculpture, music, literature, etc.), which a century later, i.e. between 1919 and 1920, bought the building and became the owner of it by Royal Decree – it is confirmed that they were held there until at least 1910 and therefore the building continued to be used with its original purpose for almost four centuries. Since then, the Circolo Artistico has continued with the original program and therefore the activities of this type continue.

Past collaborations are many, suffice it to say that the partnership with La Biennale is still ongoing and for this reason every second year, the Prisons become the exhibition venue of the Republic of Taiwan. We have a full program of music and concerts, a Carnival initiative, painting and drawing courses for students, and this program of guided tours
