The Axis of Time: Silk Clothing Fabrics from Suzhou
This exhibition is a further contribution to the friendship between Suzhou and Venice, cities with strong ties to Marco Polo, who stayed in and enjoyed Suzhou during his trip to the East.
The exhibition invites visitors on a fascinating journey through time, following the history and evolution of fashion between the West and the Far East, from the 10th century to almost the present day, dress after dress and fabric after fabric. A unique opportunity to compare the style of clothing during the Serenissima Republic with that of the main dynasties of the ancient Chinese Empire.
