Signor Blum is an artisan business that has been working with wood since 1978, and since 1997 it has been all-female: Francesca Bampa, Francesca Grandese, and Laura Turchetto.
The objects are very different from each other but they are all made of poplar wood, cut and colored. They can also be made on commission with images provided by the customer. Each item is completely handcrafted with creations conceived and designed by hand in the two workshops in the historic center of Venice.
Alongside the production of panels, Signor Blum also creates other wooden objects (clocks and puzzles). There are many subjects created and range from churches and Venetian palace facades to animals, airplanes and hot air balloons. In the store in Campo San Barnaba it is possible to assist in some phases of processing such as coloring and the final assembly of mobiles and magnets.
