Marina De Grandis graduated in 1993 as an Antique Book Restoration Technician. In the beginning, she focused her work on the traditional and artistic bookbinding and on the restoration of books and paper materials. The experience gained in bookbinding allowed her to know leather well, its history, its composition, its characteristics, and its ductility. This led the artisan to combine bookbinding with the creation of bags, backpacks, wallets and document holders for both men and women, for work and leisure.
All of Marina’s works are designed, created, cut and sewn by hand. Passion and tradition are evident even by just admiring her tools, which are as simple as those that were found in the workshops when large-scale production did not yet exist. Each piece is unique and, for special ideas, Marina makes orders on request.
