When Emanuel Toffolo was born in Murano in 1982, he was already surrounded by the art of glass, coming from a bloodline of famous glassmakers. After graduating from art school in Venice, he began to develop a passion for glass lampworking. Thanks to his interest in natural subjects, in particular the world of invertebrates, he focused his work on the reproduction of different types of glass insects.
In addition to his artisanal work, Emanuel Toffolo has been directing documentaries on glass for a few years and, with his siblings Elia and Caterina, he founded the InMurano association, created to spread the knowledge of the artistic and artisanal reality of the Murano district.
