Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli welcomes you!
The palace, splendidly overlooking the right bank of the Grand Canal between the Church of San Stae and Ca’ Pesaro, has witnessed several centuries of history. Built in the 1500s as the noble residence of the Coccina family, it later passed first to the Foscarini family and then to the Giovanelli family, hosting a number of eminent figures. In the 18th century, it was home to Marco Foscarini, future Doge of the Republic of Venice, and welcomed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during his visit to the city with his family, as well as Frederick Christian IV, King of Denmark.
The elegant architecture, rich in polychrome marble, and the sumptuous interiors of Palazzo Giovanelli, enhanced by historic frescoes and decorations, invite guests to relive and savor the splendor of Venice’s history while enjoying the comforts of modern amenities.+
ùToday, the palace is home to Hotel Palazzo Giovanelli, a charming, high-class 4-star hotel offering refined, cozy rooms and suites, along with sophisticated services: from a 24-hour reception to private transfers, from the American bar to the meeting room and complimentary tours to Murano.
